1. Agreement and provider
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Grenzwert website, browser viewer, accounts, subscriptions, and related services. Grenzwert is provided by Mikhail Gorobets, operating as Grenzwert (“Grenzwert”, “we”, “us”).
By using Grenzwert, you agree to these Terms. If you use Grenzwert for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify [email protected] promptly if you believe that your account has been compromised. Accounts and subscriptions may not be shared, transferred, or resold unless we agree in writing.
3. Services and plans
- Free provides access to the browser demo and included sample datasets without an account.
- Pro provides subscription access to the browser viewer and local import of your own supported DICOM studies.
- Max is in development. Displayed features and indicative prices are not an offer to sell and may change before release.
- Enterprise is supplied only under a separate written agreement and is not purchased through the public Paddle Checkout.
In these Terms, a Paid Plan means any Grenzwert subscription that we make available for self-service purchase through Paddle Checkout. Pro is currently the only available Paid Plan. Max becomes a Paid Plan only when we expressly make it available for purchase.
The pricing page and Checkout show the current price, billing interval, currency, taxes, and included features before you buy. We may improve, replace, or discontinue features provided that we respect active subscriptions and applicable law.
4. License to use Grenzwert
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the applicable Grenzwert plan for your own internal visualization and evaluation workflows.
Each Paid Plan license is a named-user license assigned to one natural person, rather than to a device or concurrent session. Only that person may access and use the paid viewer under the license. An organization must purchase a separate license for each employee, contractor, or other person who uses the paid viewer. Accounts and licenses may not be shared, pooled, rotated, or repeatedly reassigned between people to avoid purchasing additional licenses. Enterprise use and any permitted reassignment are governed by a separate written agreement or our written approval.
This license does not transfer ownership. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, distribute, make the paid viewer available to another person, or circumvent account, subscription, or technical access controls.
5. Medical use and DICOM data
Grenzwert is intended solely for research, education, demonstration, and non-diagnostic visualization. It is not intended for diagnosis, treatment planning, patient monitoring, or clinical decision-making. Grenzwert has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and does not bear CE marking as a medical device.
Supported DICOM studies are processed locally on your device during normal viewer use. Grenzwert does not intentionally receive or store the study content. You are responsible for having the rights and lawful basis to use each study and for protecting patient confidentiality.
Do not send identifiable patient data, DICOM files, or other sensitive health information through waitlist, email, or support forms. If support requires example data, use properly de-identified material agreed with us in advance.
6. Billing and subscriptions
Self-service Paid Plan orders are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment collection, applicable sales taxes, payment-related buyer support, and returns for those orders. Paddle’s Buyer Terms also apply.
Each Paid Plan is a recurring monthly or annual subscription. It renews automatically at the price presented in Checkout until canceled. You may cancel through the Customer Portal before the next renewal. Unless Checkout or applicable law states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period and does not itself refund a previous charge.
Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy. Access may be suspended when payment is overdue, reversed, refunded, or associated with fraud or abuse.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Grenzwert unlawfully, to infringe another person’s rights, or to process data without authorization;
- use Grenzwert for diagnosis, treatment planning, patient monitoring, clinical decision-making, or another safety-critical purpose;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass the security or access controls of the website, accounts, APIs, billing, or viewer;
- introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, scrape protected content, or impersonate another person;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.
8. Third-party services
Grenzwert uses third-party services including Clerk for authentication, Paddle for billing, Cloudflare for hosting and security, Formspree for plan-interest forms, and YouTube for optional embedded video. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply when you interact with them.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we choose and integrate them with reasonable care. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership and feedback
Grenzwert, its software, visual design, branding, documentation, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party software remains subject to its own licenses.
If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve Grenzwert without payment or restriction, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
10. Availability and termination
We aim to keep Grenzwert available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, browser or device limitations, third-party outages, and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
You may stop using Grenzwert at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for a material breach, security threat, fraud, unlawful use, or non-payment. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Terms that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grenzwert is provided “as is” and “as available”, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, diagnostic accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, loss of data, revenue, or profits, or clinical decisions made using Grenzwert. Our total liability arising from the services is limited to the fees you paid for Grenzwert during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when the services, law, or business practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the website, account area, or email where reasonably appropriate. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Questions, complaints, and support requests may be sent to [email protected]. We will try to respond within a reasonable time.
